Delete your account
You can ask us to delete your SecurityOps account at any time. Here is how, and what happens to the records attached to it.
How to request deletion
From the app: open Profile, then Delete account, and follow the prompts. Your request is recorded immediately.
By email: write toinfo@securityops.co.uk from the address on your account, with the subject "Account deletion request". We will confirm receipt within two working days.
What gets deleted
- Your login, name, email address, phone number and profile details
- Your device push-notification tokens
- Your uploaded SIA licence images and licence verification history
- Your attendance photographs
What your employer may have to keep
Some records are your employer's, not ours. Shift and attendance records underpin pay, invoices to their clients and their own regulatory obligations, so your employer may be required to retain a record that you worked a given shift even after your personal account is removed. Where that applies, the record is retained by them as the data controller, and we act on their instructions. If you want to know exactly what your employer keeps and for how long, ask them directly — and you can contact us if they do not respond.
Timescale
We action deletion requests within 30 days, and usually much sooner. Backups are rotated on a schedule, so a copy may persist in encrypted backup storage for a short period after deletion before ageing out.
